Help Us prevent wildlife conflicts in teton county

What started as a collaboration with Teton Conservation District has turned into a community wide map of apple and crab apple trees within our community. The goal of this effort is to reduce the human grown animal attractant. These backyard “conflict” apples can pull native megafauna (Moose, Deer,Elk,BEARS, Etc) into local communites & subdivisions where most interactions with humans result in habituation to these food sources in the best case, and in the worst death.

Our goal is to interveine before the animals come into the community to consume the attractant. It is also relavant to consider that not harvesting your fruit tree in Teton County is currently illegal (See County Code). We will do our best to harvest all we can but we need your help!

Trucking Apples from hard to reach places…

Option # 1 Harvest your own apples

Feeling like you can harvest your own apples! Check out this video to help make it easy, then come and trade apple for cider any Friday in Sept or October!

Option #2: Reserve your tree to be harvested.

Please note our Harvest Guide to ensure we are actually able to harvest your apples. Not all apples are created equal, and our time is limited before the freezing temps come!

Option # 3 :Tell Us About An Apple Tree and we will try to take those apples

This information will be used to add anonymous apple tree locations to our public Harvest Helper map, and give our team permission to harvest trees each fall, with landowner permission.
